Email Yogi has been a working notebook on email marketing, deliverability, mobile messaging and cross-channel customer conversation since 2006. Most of what we run comes from practitioners: people who send campaigns, watch inbox placement, argue with rendering engines and get paid on the results. If that is you, we would like to read your work. This page is our contributor guidelines and our open invitation to write for us.
We accept two kinds of contributed content. The first is a straightforward guest post: an editorial piece from a marketer, consultant, developer or vendor employee who has something useful to say. The second is a sponsored post, where a company pays to have an article published that promotes or features its product, service or research. Both are welcome, and both are held to the same editorial standard.
Every published article is permanent, indexed and reachable from our archive. Editorial links inside the article are dofollow by default, provided they point to a resource that genuinely supports the piece. A sponsored post is labelled as sponsored where disclosure is required, and we will tell you in advance how that label appears. Pricing for sponsored placements is available on request; email us and we will reply with the current rate and any options such as homepage featuring. Typical turnaround from accepted draft to live page is three to five working days.
Before you submit an article, please check it against the following:
Formats we accept: a Google Doc link, a Word document or clean HTML. Images should be your own or properly licensed, at least 900px wide, with alt text.
Send a short pitch or a finished draft to [email protected]. Use the subject line "Guest post: <topic>" so we can find it quickly. Tell us in two or three sentences what the article covers, who it is for and why our readers should care. If you are enquiring about a sponsored post, say so in the first line and we will send pricing and availability by return.
We read every message and aim to answer within two working days. If a piece is not right for us we will say so plainly, so you can place it elsewhere without delay.
We look forward to hearing from you at [email protected].
